Review of the Blackberry Bold 9700

I have been a blackberry user for a couple years now. The first blackberry I purchased was the blackberry curve 8320 for T-mobile. I have to say from then till now blackberry has come a long way. I currently own the blackberry bold 9700 and I have to say I'm really impressed. For the last 2 years I have owned many phones such as the blackberry curve 8320, t-mobile wing, iphone unlocked, the blackberry pearl 8120, T-Mobile G1, blackberry curve 8900 and now the blackberry bold 9700. I have to say I haven't had such a great experience with any other device. On the scale of 1/10 I give the bold a 9. its overall design backed with amazing performance is great. Also operating on the new 5.0 OS and 3G coverage text talking and web browsering is great.

Top things I love about the bold 9700

Trackpad
The trackpad was a wonderful addition to the blackberry curve. I was never a fan of the trackball as they wear easily and don't feel as comfortable as the trackpad on my finger tips.




3G network
I been a t mobile customer for years and awaited a blackberry with 3G speed since the release of the original bold. 3G finally has arrive on this device.

Battery life
Battery life is very important, who wants to walk around with a extra battery or batter charger? With the bold I get great battery life and I don't have to scafice performance to do so. I can go a full 2 days with regular use before having to recharge.

Keyboard
The keyboard is laid out great, not spaced to far apart, very quiet and easy on the eye and finger tips.

Camera
Packed with 3.2 megapixal camera which takes very clear pictures and also has an autofocus feature which helps in the quality of the overall picture.


Overall looks
This has to be the greatest blackberry design of all time. Being very similar to the tour and 8900 this backberry is small and smooth.

What I would like to see improve.

Memory
Things I would like to see improved with the next blackberry is on board memory. The original bold was packed with 1GB of on board memory and the bold 2 has none. Also it includes 256mb of flash memory for programs which can be quickly filled. I would like to see this stepped up to at least 512mb on future models.

Shutter sound
I would like the option to quiet the shutter sound while taking pictures.

Web browser
The blackberry web browser is outdated and needs a serious update. Maybe to should get intouch with apple because the browser on the Iphone is fantastic.
